Kumamoto Castle is located in the center of Kumamoto city. It is one of the three most celebrated castles of Japan. It was built at the order of Kiyomasa Kato, Lord of Kumamoto in 1607. This year is 400 years anniversary for it. In 1877, it went up in flames by Seinan War. It is surrounded by stone barriers called Mushagaeshi. Oshiro Festival is held once a year. The cherry blossoms are at their best in spring. There is crowded with many people. Tourists can look around there by guides. Higomaru is a character of Kumamoto Castle. People in Kumamoto take pride in Kumamoto Castle.

The day before yesterday we had a party at Kuroneko-ya for our friend, Zen. She will study abroad in New Zealand for a half year. She will leave Japan on January 27. We made an album for her at Hiroko's house before the party. We wrote messages and pasted many our pictures on it. Her eyes were watery when we gave her it. We ate and drank as much as we like! We ate heartily. We hope that she will have a good time in NZ. GOOD LUCK, Zen!

Suizenji Park is a Japanese garden. The official name is Suizenji Jojuen Garden, but we generallly call it Suizenji Park. It was constructed by Lord Tadatoshi Hosokawa in 1636. The landscape garden is designed in the Momoyama style. We can see the clear pond which is full of colorful carps. Kokondenju-no-ma tea ceremony room is located near the pond. The beautiful arrangement of hills covering with grounds were modeled after the 53 stations of the Tokaido Road. It is one of the historic sites in Japan.

January 14 was Coming of Age Day!

I woke up early and went to a beauty salon. I made up and dressed up furisode (long-sleeved kimono). After that, I went to vivre in Koshi city to take a ceremony. I could see many local friends. I cherished the memory of my junior high school days. Next I went to my workplace. My coworker congratulated me. Next I went to my brother and his wife's house. I could take a rest a little with coffee. Next I went to Daiichi high school which I went for 3 years. Also I could see many friends and teachers. Next I passed over freeway for about 90 minutes and arrived at Hitoyoshi. My grandmothers live Hitoyoshi! They said to me, "you are beautiful!" again and again. They looked so happy and I was happy, too. I spend such a busy day, but I spend a good day! I could see so many people in a day! I want to say "Thank you, my dad!", because the day's all driver was dad.^^; Maybe he was so tired... I decided to be a good adult!

Yesterday I joined in a party at a bar. My friends of high school days gathered. We seldom see each other, so we talked about many things and enjoyed. A clerk of the bar was so funny! His name was Yacchan. He looked like Show Aikawa. He sang and danced Ozma for us. He was perfect and so cool!! We were all charmed by him. We will go to the bar to watch his show someday!

Today I’m going to talk about my last winter vacation. First days, I worked part-time hard! I’m working part-time at a cake shop. For cakes shop, Christmas season is the hardest days of a year. My cake shop is very popular, so there were crowded with many customers. I was really tired. I sliced many strawberries. I don’t want to see strawberries any more.^^; After I finished working, I ate the Christmas cake. It was so delicious and I was so happy.

Amakusa has over 120 small and large islands, faces the East China Sea and the Shiranuhi Sea. We can see a stunningly beautiful landscape. Amakusa is also famous for The Five Bridges, otherwise The Pearl Line. There are 3 underwater parks in Amakusa. The glass-bottomed boats offer you a marvelous view of colorful corals and tropical fish. Amakusa has many dolphins. If you are lucky, you might be able to see the dolphins jumping.There are many sea bathing places. You can enjoy scuba diving, camping and hot spring, too. Fireworks are beautiful in summer.

I will be busy in Christmas of this year. I’m working part-time job at a cake shop. I have to work hard on Christmas Day. I expect that I get a lot of money. Now I have many things to want. I will buy them by money which I get on Christmas. If I finish part-time job early, I want to go to illumination spots. Saishunkan is famous for illumination spot. We can see very beautiful illuminations there. My friends who went there said to me that they were soooooooo good! Aso Farmland is, too. I also want to see them, but I will have no time to go there. Lilo & Stitch

I watched a movie, Lilo & Stitch. It was distributed by Walt Disney Pictures in 2002, was nominated for the 2003 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. This was my second time to watch it. I watched it for the first time 5 years ago in a movie theater.

A girl, Lilo lives with her older sister, Nani in Kauai of Hawaii. They lost their parents by a car accident. Lilo’s hobbies are hula and taking pictures. She has no friends, and is alone while Nani is working. They often have a quarrel. Lilo always remembers her parents. Nani tries to have a dog for Lilo who wants friends. Lilo named the dog Stitch.

Stitch is an alien who escaped from space. A scientist, Dr. Jumba Jookeba created Stitch as EXPERIMENT 626. Stitch is a blue alien with four arms, two legs and antennae. He doesn’t like water. Dr.Jumba’s boss orders Dr. Jumba to catch Stitch. Therefore Dr. Jumba comes to the earth from a planet with Pleakley who knows the earth well. They are aliens, too.

Stitch is a destroyer. He gives many troubles to many people. Lilo never abandons him. She loves him as her family. She says to him that he is my ohana. Ohana means family in Hawaiian. He comes to open his mind. They are good friends. He gets along with Nani’s boy friend, David.

A social worker, Cobra Bubbles worries about Lilo and tries to take her into foster care. Dr. Jumba and Pleakley can’t catch Stitch easily. The boss orders Captain Gantu to go to the earth and catch stitch.

Lilo and Stitch are caught by Captain Gantu who is an enormous alien. Stitch succeeds in escape from him, and saves Lilo. The boss knows that Stitch has his family on the earth, and decides to guard him. Cobra Babbles stops tearing Lilo and Nani apart. Finally Lilo and Nani begin to live with Stitch, Dr. Jumba, Pleakley and Captain Gantu in Kauai on the earth.

I enjoyed this movie. The story had a happy ending. We can here many songs of Elvis Presley in the movie. Lilo likes him. I didn’t know him very much, but I thought his songs were very good.

In addition, Hawaiian songs were amusing and rhythmic. Hula made me comfortable and pleasant. I learned that family is very important for Hawaiian. I could feel a lot of Hawaiian cultures in the movie.

Today I went to Sanbun in downtown to take a photograph of myself with long-sleeved kimono. Japanese girls dress long-sleeved kimono when they become 20 years old. I seldom dress kimono. It was hard to walk with it, but I enjoyed! It made me refreshing. I'll dress it next month for Coming of Age Day. I'm looking forward to the day!

It's one of my favorite yoghurts. It's very big. The volume is 1 liter! Wow!! It is creamy. You can eat yoghurt until you are full! I recommend it!

I read "TINKERS FARM".

Sam Tinker and his daughter, Jenny are English.
They go to America and start a new life. They work at Jack Crane's farm. Sam works in the fields. Jenny works in the farmhouse. Jack Crane is severe and forces works on them. They have to work very hard. They hate working there. Jenny gets along with Blue Sky who also works at Jack Crane's farm. Blue Sky's family live in Indian village. One day, Jenny saves a boy who is nearly drowned in the river. The boy is Indian village chief's son. The chief gives a farm to the Tinkers as his gratitude. It makes Sam and Jenny happy. They leave Jack Crane's farm and start a new life at TINKERS FARM.

It was a wonderful story. Jack Crane was a bad person. Jenny was brave to save the boy. I think God gave a reward for good behavior. I hope that Sam and Jenny live happy at their farm, TINKERS FARM.

Mt. Aso in Kumamoto is famous for the world's largest caldera. Volcanic Mt. Aso consists the 5 peaks called Aso-gogagku and the encircling peaks. Mt. Nakadake is one of the peaks of Aso-gogaku, is still an active volcano, and exhibits awesome scenery. The opening measures 1.1 kilometers north-south and 400 meters east-west, with a circumference of 4 kilometers, and is the only one in the world where visitors can stand on the brink and peer in. Kusasenri is a grassland at the foot of Mt. Eboshidake. There is a large pond in the center. You can ride a horse around the pond and enjoy the feeling of open nature around you. Daikanbou is famous for a view spot. When you stand there, you can survey the wonderful view of Aso. Aso Farmland is a popular spot. It has restaurants, shops and hot springs. Illuminations are so bright at night. Also you can stay in a special dome house at Aso Fa rm Villedge.

I read "Marcel and the Mona Lisa".

Marcel is a French mouse, and a detective. He has a friend, Celine. She lives at the Louvre museum in Paris. One evening he goes there for dinner. At 11 o'clock, when he leaves there, he sees a man steal a famous painting, the Mona Lisa. Marcel approaches the man and goes into the man's black bag. The thief gets on a train and a gondola to Venice. Then he arrives at his hideout. Marcel sees many cats there. He doesn't like cats! He goes out the bag. He climbs up a curtain and jumps onto a bookcase. After that, he pushes the candles over. The carpet is on fire! While the thief quenches the fire with water, Marcel gets the Mona Lisa and runs out of the room!! Marcel pushes it through the letter-box of a police station. Now the Mona Lisa is smiling at the Louvre museum.

I enjoyed the story. It was interesting. Marcel is smart and courageous! I want to see the Mona Lisa at the Louvre museum in Paris.

A winter vacation will come soon. I’m looking forward to winter vacation. Today I’m going to talk about my plans for winter vacation of this year. First, I have to work part-time hard. I’m working at a cake shop. Christmas will be busy. Christmas of last year was very hard for me. Second, I have to clean my room. Now my room is so messy. There are many clothes, handouts and textbooks on the floor. It’s too bad. Third, I’m going to go to my grandmother’s house. She lives in Hitoyoshi. It takes about an hour and thirty minutes from Kumamoto city to there. I love Hitoyoshi. I will spend leisurely there on the New Years holidays.

School of Rock

I watched a movie, School of Rock. This was my first time to watch it. I didn’t know the movie. It was distributed by Paramount Pictures in 2003 and directed by Richard Linklater.

A main character’s name is Dewey Finn. He does love rock. He is a member of a rock band, NO VACANCY as rock singer and guitarist. He is fired from the band by his free performances. He lives with his friend, Ned and Ned’s girlfriend. Ned is a former rock musician. Now he is a schoolteacher. Dewey has no money. He is falling behind with the rent. He needs money. One day, he picks up the phone from Horace Green School. They want Ned. Dewey accepts that, and works at Horace Green School as Ned.

Dewey is not teacher. He only wants money. He doesn’t teach anything. He sees students at music class. He discovers that students have talents of music. Then he decided to teach rock music to students. He tries to win the Battle of the Bands. His students learned about playing rock and rock history every day. They listen to rock music as their homework. They are bitten by a special fascination of rock little by little.

Finally they play at the Battle of the Bands as a rock band, “School of Rock”! They make a great success. They can’t win the battle, but they became popular.

It comes out that Dewey is not a teacher. Student’s parents try to develop their children’s talents of music. Ned knows Dewey’s act. Ned forgives Dewey and teaches rock music to children. Dewey enjoys rock with children!

Jack Black plays Dewey. He is a singer as well as an actor. He excellently plays a rock teacher.

It was a school comedy movie. It was excited for me. Dewey was a cheerful person. He was full of passion. I became a fan of Dewey. I was really surprised at children’s skills of playing. They were so cool. I didn’t know rock very much, but I understood what rock is. I thought a power of music can change everything.

Yesterday night, I had a year-end party with my coworker. It was held at nabeshima which was a broiled meat restaurant. That day, we closed our shop early than usual. We ate a lot of meats and drank. Some people got drunk and became facetious. How about me? I was OK.^^ We made a vow to work hard at Christmas. We are working at a cake shop! I'm afraid of Christmas....

I read "THE LONG ROAD".

It's a true story.
Terry Fox has cancer and he has an artificial leg. He thinks that only money can stop pains of children. He decides to run across Canada for money. He begins to run when he is 15 years old in 1979.
He is often in pain from his artificial leg, but he can't stop running. Many people give money to him. When he runs 3,339 miles, he stops running. There is a bad pain in his lungs. An airplane takes him back home. He has cancer again. He dies in 1981.
Money from his marathon brings hope to all people with cancer.
He gets many awards. Today his statue stands in Ottawa.

I didn't know him. I was impressed with him. He is so strong and brave! I can't. I look up to him. I think he is still running on our hearts.

I’m working part-time at a cake shop. I have worked there for more than one year. It’s very convenient that there is near to my house. It takes only five minutes by bicycle. I’m going to talk about my works. I’m not a salesclerk. I’m a patissier assistant. For example, my works are cutting fruits, decorating cakes with fruits and making fresh cream. They are interesting for me. I also wrap sweets for gifts. I’m interested in wrapping, so it’s a good lesson for me. I can taste a lot of sweets during working. I often get sweets for free. They are delicious. I like them very much. I must not forget to watch my weight. Christmas will come soon. As you know, cake shops are very busy in Christmas. It’s very hard. Many people buy cakes for Christmas. I will work on Christmas Day. I want to give many people happiness with cakes.

Today a wedding celebration of my brother and his wife took place at Hotel Nikko Kumamoto!
It was a chapel ceremony. It was so good and really moved me to tears.

After that, we had a reception. Many our relatives visited there. We ate French dishes. They were delicious. Some people sang a song. I played the piano. We took lots of pictures.

My brother and his wife looked sooooooooooo happy!

I wish for their eternal happiness.

I read "MAISIE AND THE DOLPHIN".

Maisie King is 13 years old. Her parents work at a animal hospital which is next to their house. They don't have enough money to keep the hospital open. Maisie's hobby are swimming underwater and looking at all the beautiful fish.
One day, an American boat hits a dolphin in the sea. She takes the dolphin back to the hospital with her grandfather. Her parents help the dolphin. Every day, she can see the dolphin in a big pool next to the hospital. She calls the dolphin Ben. She loves Ben.
Three weeks later, Ben is strong and well. Maisie and her grandfather take Ben out to sea.

It was a happy story. Maisie was a kind person. Ben was too. I thought Ben presented coins to Maisie's family in gratitude. I like the story.

Weekends are my pleasure. I usually work part-time job on Sunday, so only Saturday is my free time. However, I expect that I also will have to work part-time job on Saturday, because Christmas will come soon. I am working part-time job at a cake shop. Christmas is very busy there. I will earn a lot of money on December. I like nature very much. If it is fine, I go to places with nature on Saturday. I often go to Aso. Aso has a rich natural environment. I will get my car next month. I want to drive my car anywhere with my family or my friends on weekend. I can not wait on getting my car!

Mrs. Doubtfire
I watched a movie, Mrs. Doubtfire. This was my first time to watch it. It’s a comedy movie, I didn’t know that. It was based on the novel, Alias Madame Doubtfire by Anne Fine. A movie, Mrs. Doubtfire was distributed by 20th Century Fox in 1993 and directed by Chris Columbus. A famous movie which he directed is Home Alone. I have watched it many times.

A main character’s name is Daniel Hillard. His wife name is Miranda Hillard. Robin Williams plays Daniel. Sally Field plays Miranda. Daniel is a voice actor, but he has a quarrel with his boss at a work. He loses her work. Miranda is an interior decorator. Daniel and Miranda have three children, Lydia, Chris and Natalie. They are very obedient, and love their father, Daniel.

Daniel is not in good with Miranda. Daniel holds a birthday party for Chris in their house while Miranda is out for her work. The house is very messy and Miranda is angry. She decides to divorce Daniel. Miranda gets primary custody of her children. Daniel can meet children only once a week. He is disappointed that. He doesn’t want to live away from his children. Children don’t want to live away from Daniel, too. Miranda looks for a housekeeper. Daniel knows that, he apply for that. He disguises himself as a housekeeper by his brother, Frank who is a makeup architect. Daniel works as a housekeeper, Mrs. Doubtfire at the Hillard family. He is happy, because he can meet his children everyday. Mrs. Doubtfire is a very good housekeeper. Miranda and three children like her.

One day, Mrs. Doubtfire has a dinner with Miranda, children and Miranda’s boyfriend, Stuart at a restaurant. Daniel has a dinner with a boss of his new work at a restaurant. Their time and restaurant are absolutely same! He changes his clothes in the bathroom of the restaurant many times. Finally it comes out that Mrs. Doubtfire is Daniel by an accident.

Therefore Miranda formally gets primary custody of children. Daniel works in a TV program. It becomes popular. His children are pleased with that, because they can meet Daniel through a picture of TV. Miranda realizes that children and she need Daniel. She doesn’t look for a new housekeeper again. She tries to bring up children with Daniel. He come back home as Daniel not Mrs. Doubtfire. They all are happy.

It’s a very interesting movie for me. I laughed many times as I watched it. My most impressive scene is in restaurant. That kept me in suspense. I think Daniel is talented to be able to play many characters. I was very surprised at a special makeup with Mrs. Doubtfire. It was extremely real. The story describes love of family. A chain of events knit the Hillard family together. The movie taught me a precious love and bond of family.

On November 13, I had a dinner at kitchen ku with my friends. It is located near Kumamoto city hall. We could eat and drink as much as you like for 2, 625 yen there. We were so hungry and we ate pasta, salad, rice, steak, cakes, pudding...... We ordered dishes many times. Maybe, clerks were surprised that.^^; All dishes were very good. I recommend the restaurant!

I read "The Well".

Lia's grandmother is old and sick. She is sad. Her husband is dead.
She often asks Lia to go to the old well at farm and bring some water. Lia goes to the well with her brother, Jay. The journey to the well is dangerous. The farm is near the volcano. They find the well. They pull a rope. At last, a bucket is out of the well. The water is not good. However they find many gold coins in the bucket. They are Grandfather's coins! Lia and Jay go home and show coins to Grandmother. She becomes fine!

The book was easy to read. It was a good story. I could understand why Grandmother required to bring her some water of the farm's well.

Yesterday I went to CINEPLEX to watch a movie, koizora with my friend, Akko. Yesterday was Ladies Day, so there were many people in the theater. Do you know Ladies Day? Ladies can watch a movie for 1, 000 yen on Wednesdays.

The movie, koizora is an adaptation of a novel. Before I watched a movie, I had read a novel on the cell phone, so I had known the story.

It is a sad love story. The main character is Mika who is played by Yui Aragaki. She is so cute! Now she is one of the most popular actresses.

Takumasai of this year was held on November 1, 2, and 3. Many people visited there. Especially November 3 was Saturday, so there were many people. I am a member of SAMPO club. Our club sold cheese fondu and chocolate fondu. They were very good tastes. They were hot foods, too. When we eat them, we could warm ourselves. Other club foods were also good tastes. I ate many foods during Takumasai. On the second day, I went to concert of FLOW. It's a group singer. To tell the truth, I didn’t know them very much. However the concert was excited for me unexpectedly. On the final day, we could see fireworks and laser beams at night. It was really beautiful! After that, our club went to downtown and had a drinking party. We were exhausted, so some people fell asleep.
We had a good time at Takumasai.

Today I went shopping in downtown with my mother.

We were going to buy many things, but we didn't buy anything. We couldn't find our favorite things.
After the shopping, we ate okonomiyaki and yakisoba for dinner at Daimonji. We like Daimonji. Have you ever been there? It's a popular okonomiyaki shop. In Daimonji, you can bake okonomiyaki by yourself on the iron plate. Okonomiyaki of Daimonji is delicious and cheap! Daimonji is one of my favorite food shops.
Now we can see many illuminations for Christmas in downtown. They are very beautiful! Christmas will come soon!!

I like animals very much. I am not good at touching them because I am scared of them. I went to Minnesota Zoo in America last summer. I could watch many animals there. I looked around there by monorail with my friends. For example, we watched camels, moose, flamingos, white swans and deer. We enjoyed watching them. We were very surprised that some camels gathered. Were they cold? We also watched dolphins show. They are so cute and intelligent. They showed a lot of performances to us. They entertained us. I seldom go to the zoo. I read "Surfer!".

Nick is 16 years old and he loves a surfing. He wants to go to Australia because there is an important surfing competition in Australia. His parents oppose that.
He tries to win a big surfing competition at his town. He practices the surfing every day.
One day, he meets Australian surfers, Janelle, Mike and Brian. Brian is jealous for Nick who is good surfer. The others are kind for Nick. Janelle suggests that Nick has to get a new surfboard. Nick's surfboard is old, and he cannot win the competition with it. He goes and talks to people in the surf shop in the town. Then he gets a new surfboard for the competition!
The day of the surfing competition, Nick's surfing is very good.
However at the final, Brian comes at Nick on Brian's surfboard and hits Nick! Nick falls from his surfboard. He thinks he loses the competition. However he wins the competition. One of the judges know Brian's act.
He gets the first prize for a thousand pounds. His father knows Nick is good surfer and allows Nick's plan to go to Australia.

Brian was bad to do such a thing. Nick's efforts paid off. I think efforts are important. Nick was so cool! I have never surfed. I want to try it. Please tell me how to surf.

Romeo and Juliet
Romeo and Juliet is a too famous story all over the world. It was written by dramatist, William Shakespeare more than four hundreds years ago. It’s famous as a tragedy. It has been played by many actors. A movie, Romeo and Juliet which I watched this time, Romeo was played by Leonardo DiCaprio, Juliet was played by Claire Danes. It was released by 20th Century Fox in 1996, directed by Buz Luhrmann.

Romeo and Juliet fall in love each other at a party. The love is forbidden. Romeo is the house of Montague, Juliet is the house of Capulet. It is an enemy between the Montague and the Caplet. Juliet is pushed to marry the house of Capulet, Paris by her parents. Romeo’s friend, Mercutio is killed by Juliet’s cousin, Tybalt. Romeo swears vengeance on Tybalt, and Romeo kills Tybalt. Romeo is sent into exile by the crime. Friar Lawrence tries to join Romeo and Juliet, so tries to reconcile the Montague and the Caplet. He offers Juliet a drug, which will be in suspended animation briefly. She takes it. People have the mistaken idea that Juliet is dead, and then she is laid in the Caplet’s crypt. While she is sleeping, Friar Lawrence sends a letter of the plan to Romeo, but Romeo doesn’t receive by an accident unfortunately. Romeo who knows Juliet’s death goes to the crypt, so he kills himself by taking poison next to Juliet. Juliet who wakes out of sleep sees Romeo who is dead, so she shoots herself with a gun. After that, the Montague and the Capulet regret their shameful struggle.

I have watched a movie, Romeo and Juliet which was released in 1968. In the movie, Romeo was played by Leonarl Whiting, Juliet was played by Olivia Hussey. Compared with DiCaprio version and Whiting version, DiCaprio version is modernized. For example, some characters wear aloha shirts, high-rise buildings stand not castles and duels are performed with guns not swords. Lines are almost same.

In the story, we can also here many romantic words. A beautiful love is described in. The story is a very tragic ending. I thought that a struggle lead all to a tragedy. The Montague and the Capulet had to realize their error as soon as possible.

Mike is an assistant van driver, Bill.
One day, they deliver goods to Mr. Morgan's shop. Then Mike meets Jennifer who is Mr. Morgan's daughter. She has beautiful eyes and beautiful hair. Mike fall in love with her! Bill helps Mike.
Mike asks her to a cinema. However the appointed day, he forget his money and he goes back home. Then he is very late. She is angry. She doesn't want to talk to him. He writes a letter to her. She forgives him. Finally they love each other.

It had a happy ending. I envy them. I think that loving each other is very difficult. I want to beatify them.

Professor Verity invented The Truth Machine.

Nobody who sits on The Truth Machine can tell lies. He loves truth. He hates lies. However, it's a lie. He doesn't hate lies. He invented The Truth Machine to make money!!

The Truth Machine makes many people unhappy. Finally, he is killed and The Truth Machine is destroyed.

I was surprised at the shocking ending of the story. I was mocked by him. I believed he was honest. I wanted him to make amends.

Kill Bill
I watched a movie, Kill Bill: Vol.1. This was my first time to watch it. I had known only the name because of the fame, but I had never tried to watch it. In fact, I don’t like action movies very much. However it was excited me unexpectedly. Kill Bill: Vol.1 was released by Miramax Films in 2003. It was directed by Quentin Tarantino.

A main character’s name is The Bride. She was a member of a killer. She gave up a killer because of her pregnancy. In her wedding ceremony, she was attacked by boss, Bill and four people who served Bill. She was seriously hurt. Four years later, she came out of a coma. She decided to revenge on Bill and four people. First, she killed Vernita Green in front of Vernita’s daughter. I felt pity for the daughter. Second, she tried to kill O-Ren Ishii. That was very hard to deal with. She had to kill many people who served O-Ren. For example, she fought with Gogo Yubari. The Bride and O-Ren fought at a Japanese garden with snow. The scene was very Japanese. At last, The Bride killed O-Ren.

I was very surprised that many famous Japanese actors played in. I had never known that. For example, Sonny Chiba played Hattori Hanzo. He gave a wonderful sword to The Bride. It was a very important scene. There were some Japanese names in the story. For example, O-Ren Ishii, Gogo Yubari and Hattori Hanzo. I could also hear Japanese and Japanese songs in the story. I felt Japanese though it was a foreign movie. I felt comical though it was a violence movie. It was a unique movie for me.

The Bride played by Uma Thurman. She was a beauty and a cool. I could see her many fine fights in the story. She has to kill the other three people, and I have to watch a movie, Kill Bill: Vol.2!

I read "The Umbrella".

Carla bought a new umbrella.
When she went to a shop, she put it near the door. Then, a woman took Carla's umbrella. Carla finished the shopping. Carla was angry because there is no her umbrella. She was obliged to hold a woman's umbrella.
When Carla was walking down the street, she was spoken to a man. He was looking for a woman who took Carla's umbrella. He had the mistaken idea that Carla was a woman who he was looking for, because Carla was holding a woman's umbrella.
After that, he asked Carla for a date! They made friends.

It was a much unexpected ending. I am worried about a whereabouts of a woman which he was looking for. Carla and his meeting was just an accident! I think that nobody knows where there is a meeting.

Today my brother, his wife, my mother and I went to Hotel Nikko Kumamoto to talk with a wedding planner. The wedding ceremony of my brother and his wife will be held there after about a month. I hope that it will be a success! I'm looking forward to that.

After the talking, we went to SAIRO for dinner.

There were many customers. I guessed that it was because of Saturday night!

SAIRO is a restaurant of broiled meat. We like that very much, so we ate until we were full!

I like to watch movies very much. Three years ago, a movie theater built near my house, so I often go there. My part-time job place is next to the rental video shop. Pete was a college student.
In the shopping mall, suddenly a girl ran towards him and gave him a cassette of film. The girl was running away from a man. Pete developed the film. One of the photo was a picture of two men. Pete suspected them. Pete thought the girl was caught up in a incident! He tried to help the girl. He investigated to solve the puzzle. Two men of the picture did a bribe!
In the last of the story, the girl was imprisoned by a man in his house. Pete fought against a man, and finally Pete succeeded in saving the girl!

It was a mystery and a complex story. He was brave to fight a man who was a offender. He was smart to solve the hard puzzle!

Yesterday our club assembled at school at 5 a.m.!!!

We dressed and made up, and we paraded around the downtown!!!

Boys carried a portable shrine which was made by them. Other clubs costumes were so cute and cool, too.

A purpose of the parade was a advertisement of Takumasai. Takumasai is a school festival of KGU. This year, it will be held in November 1, 2, 3. I hope many people will come.

Yesterday was a very hot day!! We felt thirsty...

We were surprised that there were many seniors of our club to see our parade. They presented cold drinks to us, so we felt happy. We also took many photos.

After the parade, we came back to school.

Next, we assembled at downtown at 7 p.m. for a drinking party.

Many people got drunk. We were so exhausted and sleepy...

We had a very good and long day.

I read "Rich Man, Poor Man".

A old man, Minta got a money order from his son. It was worth one hundred pounds. Minta went to the Post Office in Darpur to change his money order into money. However, he could not get money because he didn't have his Identity Card. He tried to make his Identity Card. First, he took a photograph of himself for his Identity Card. He could not get his photograph because of a quackery of a photographer! Minta got angry, and hit the photographer. Finally, Minta could not get his Identity Card. He asked Mr. Sheth who is an important man in Darpur. Mr. Sheth said that this money order was worth nothing because it was not correct and it was out-of-date! Mr. Sheth was sorry for Minta, and Mr. Sheth gave ten pounds to Minta. However Minta was not happy, because one hundred pounds of his money order changed only ten pounds....

I felt pity for Minta. The goodwill of his son was wasted. I thought that he did not have to be disappointed because it was better than nothing! I want him to be happy. I want to be a rich man!!

Takumasai is a very big event of KGU. KGU have many clubs. Each sells foods at their booths. I am a member of SAMPO club. We sold coffee jelly and annin-dofu last year. They were very popular because of their reasonable prices and their good testes. At last, they were sold out. We will sell sweets of chocolates this year. I’m sure they will be delicious. Also, a concert is held in Takumasai every year. A singer, Ayaka sang last year. She is very famous singer. However I could not go to the concert unfortunately. I regretted that. A group singer, FLOW will sing this year. I got the ticket yesterday! Now I preparing for Takumasai of this year. It's hard, but fun.

Toy Story
Toy Story was released by Disney in 1995. It’s very famous and loved all over the world. It won many honorable prizes. This was my second time to watch it. I watched it for the first time about ten years ago, so I did not remember the content of the story very much.

The main characters of Toy Story are Woody and Buzz Lightyear. They are toys of a boy, Andy who likes toys very much. A cowboy doll, Woody is Andy’s most favorite toy. Andy gets a new toy at his birthday party. It’s an action figure, Buzz Lightyear of a space ranger. Andy comes to like Buzz Lightyear than Woody. Woody is jealous of Buzz Lightyear.

One day, Woody is going to drive out Buzz Lightyear, and they fall from Andy’s room by an accident. Their great adventure begins from there. They do their best to come back to　Andy’s room. At a restaurant, Pizza Planet, they are caught by a boy, Sid who treats toys violently, and they are half-dead at Sid’s room. They are caught up in many accidents. They have a lot of friends. All of them are Andy’s toys. I’ll introduce some of them. Mr. Potato Head is a potato-shaped doll. He is looking for a wife. Rex is a dinosaur doll. He is gutless. Slinky is a dog doll. His trunk is made by a spring. Bo Peep is a girl doll. She is a sheepherder. Green Army Men are soldiers of toys. They are serious. At last, Woody and Buzz Lightyear can return to Andy thanks to the cooperation of the friends. A deep bond is born between Woody and Buzz Lightyear.

I like Toy Story very much because a lot of toys appear. They are each individual and are cheerful. Also, they are pure and are considerate of their friends. When I finished watching it, I could feel refreshing. I thought that was the reason why it was loved all over the world. Toy Story 2 was released in 1999. I would like to watch it, too.

Everybody in Crossways wears a large hat with black because everybody has long hair. One day, a man comes to Crossways. He is The Magic Barber! He can cut hairs with the magic! He cuts everybody's hair, and everybody throws their hat away. The morning of the next day, everybody is very surprised that everybody has no hair! They want their hats back. Then, a man comes to Crossways again. He sells black hats, and everybody buys it. Everybody is happy.

It was a wonder story. Who was a man? He was a fraud, because he made everybody's hair bald. I thought that he was good at a business, but he was not a good man.

I went to Minnesota of America on kaigai kenshu this summer. This time was my second time to go abroad. I stayed with host family for about one month. My host family’s names were Tom and Lisa. They were very kind for me than I expected. Lisa was very good cooker. She served delicious dishes every day. I liked them very much. I went to lakes many times. I was very surprised that Minnesota has many lakes. My most impressive lake was Lake Superior. It was so great. It looked like a sea!

A girl, "otemoyan" is a famous character in Kumamoto.

This statue is placed in the center of Kumamoto city.

In summer festival, we dance the Bon dancing in "otemoyan" music!

It's a funny dance!

I read Carnival.

Jake is 18 years old. He is in London alone to look at the Notting Hill Carnival. Jake sees a tall beautiful girl at the carnival. Their eyes meet and she smiles at him. He is in love with her. Then, he runs after her desperately!!

It's a funny story!! When I finished reading the book, I laughed in spite of myself.

Ueki town of Kumamoto ships it most in Japan!
The watermelon is the things Japanese of summer, and it's the most delicious now!!
I ate it today. Maybe, I will eat the watermelon many times during summer.

I read "Let Me Out!"

John is 30. He lives in an apartment with his dog, Sam. John makes a robot and calls him Nolan. Nolan cleans John's apartment every day. Nolan washes John's clothes in the washing machine and makes John's food. Nolan can do anything John wants.

One day the case happens....

John likes Sam, but he doesn't like Nolan because Nolan is just a robot. Therefore Nolan hates Sam. Nolan fails Sam from a window of the apartment! Sam died....

In the end, Nolan shuts John in to the bathroom. Then, Nolan closes a faucet which stops all the water. John has no food and no water! 5 days later, John died.

It's too tragic!!!!!

Today, I'm going to introduce two sightseeing spots of Kumamoto.

One is "isshingyou-no-oozakura".

It's a very big cherry tree. In spring, they are at their best, so many people visit there to feel spring.

The other is "shirakawa spring".

There is surrounded by nature.
The fresh water spring from there. It's too cool and nice!!
Some people of Kumamoto use it for their life.
You can take it home.

I read Shooting Stars.

Lisa and Alice go to an island in Greece on holiday.

The film stars, Matt Lepardi and Claudia Carman also are in there.

They are making a film and are shooting some scenes.

Lisa and Alice are the fan of them.

One day, Lisa finds them in the hotel. Lisa is very frightened because Claudia is shooting Matt!!

However, Matt is not dead! They practiced their scenes of film in their hotel. Lisa felt relieved.

This book was written by Polly Sweetnam.

I like his book because the book which he wrote is interesting all.

I drank Mango Passion Frappuccino because my friend who worked there recommended it.

I wanted to drink it very much.

In fact, I don't like mango very much, but the mango juice was delicious!^^*

I liked it. Next, I want to drink Raspberry Cassis Frappuccino!

My favorite movie

I like to watch movie very much. Three years ago, a movie theater built near my house, so I often go there. I have many favorite movies. Today, I’m going to introduce one of them.
It’s “GLADIATOR”. It was released in 2000. It won 73rd Academy Award. I watched it for the first time four years ago, because my brother strongly recommended it to me.

The scene of the story is laid in 180 the Roman Empire. A hero’s name is Maximus. An old emperor wants Maximus to take the next emperor. The old emperor‘s son, Commodus knows it, and he kills his father. Commodus becomes a new emperor. Maximus’s wife and son are murdered by Commodus. Then, Maximus deepen a desire for revenge to him. At last, Maximus become a gladiator, and he fight against Commodus for revenge and a peace of the Roman Empire.

Russell Crowe played Maximus. I was moved to tears by his acting. It was really good. He has played a lot of movies. His popular movies are “The Insider”, “A beautiful Mind” and “Master and Commander”. He was born in New Zealand in 1964, and he grew up in Australia. He married an actress, Daniela Spencer in 2003. Now, they have two children.

“GLADIATOR” directed by Ridley Scott. He is a famous director. His popular movies are “Alien”, “Hannibal” and “Kingdom of Heaven”. I have not watched them yet, so I do want to watch them.

Now, I have a lot of movies which I want to watch. In this summer holidays, I will watch them after I will return from America to Japan.

I read Photo Finish.

Lisa and Alice work at the same company.
They are going to go abroad on holiday, so they must go to the Post Office and get their passports. They go to there, but Lisa doesn't have her photo for passport. Then, she goes to the photo booth in the bus station. There is nobody there. She takes her photo there. When she is waiting for her photo, some photos are coming out of the slot. However, they are not hers. There is a man in the photos. The four photos show a murder!!!! Somebody is holding the man's scarf tightly!!! There are a snake ring and a bird tattoo on murderer's hands.
Lisa and Alice go to the police station and tell their story to the police. Then, Lisa goes to the photo booth with the police. A man is standing there. Lisa sees the snake ring and the bird tattoo on his hands!! He is the murderer!!! He is caught by the police.

One piece of postcard reached my house yesterday. It was addressed to me. It was an admission ticket of the polling place of the election.

I became 20 years old in last month, so I got a voting right! I was glad at it!

The date of the election is July 29. I will not be in Japan on that day because I will be in America for kaigaikenshu. I have to do absentee voting before I go to America.

I have a dinner with my family and my brother's girlfriend at downtown of Kumamoto city.

We ate many dished!! For example, we ate slices of raw fish, slices of raw horse, and tempura.

I was full!

We drank very much, and we talked very much.

We had a very good time. After that, we also ate Chinese noodle.

I was very very full!!!!!!

I read HANNAH AND THE HURRICANE.

Hannah is sixteen and lives on island. She is on holiday from school and is working for Mr. Duval on his glass-bottomed boat. They take people to look at the beautiful fish and the coral reef under the sea. Mr. Duval can only pay Hannah a little money, but she likes working for the old man. Mr. Duval's boat is the only glass-bottomed boat on the island, but one day, a new glass-bottomed boat appears on the island. It is Max Marker's boat. He is very rich and has a big house on the island. Tourists don't take Mr. Duval's boat, because a fare of the boat is more expensive than that of Max Marker's. It's a Max Marker's trick!! A few days later, Max Marker sinks Mr. Duval's boat under the water! Hannah and Mr. Duval are very angry!!
One day, a hurricane hit on the island. Max Marker's big house falls down by a work of the hurricane. Max Marker is buried under debris. Hannah helps him. He thanks her very much, and he understands that money isn't everything.

I read In The Frame.

It's the end of Lisa and Alice's holiday. They are on the airport bus. They are leaving Greece and are going home in England. Vera is on the airport bus too. She has two children and a lot of luggage. She is very worried about her husband because he is ill in England. Lisa and Alice feel sorry for Vera, and they want to help her.
Lisa, Alice, Vera and two children are in a cafe of England Airport. Suddenly, customs officers and police officers appear in the cafe. One officer is searching in Vera's pushchair. He finds out a frame. Vera is an art thief! She stole a painting of island's museum!! Actually, Two children are not Vera's. They are her sister's children. Vera is arrested. The customs officers have the stolen painting. They are very pleased. Vera's sister has her children. She is very pleased too.

I was very surprised at the shocking ending of the story.

I stayed overnight at Amakusa with members of the club last Saturday. It took three hours to there by car.

On that day, it rained in buckets at Kumamoto city, but it did not rain at all at Amakusa. We were so lucky!!!!

We had a barbecue, soaked in a hot spring and went to the sea!!

We enjoyed them. I want to go there again in this summer holiday!

The Captain and his men are sailing between Cuba and Florida.
They look at the strange ship. There's no name on the ship. There are no men on deck. Where are the ship's men?
The captain and two men row across to the strange ship to look for the men on the ship. He cannot find them. The captain goes in a cabin. There is nobody there, but a photograph is on the table. He looks at it, and he is very surprised. It is a photograph of himself!! He runs up on deck. He looks around, but he can see nobody. He is alone......

I thought it's a strange story.
