Today is May 5 , Children's Day! So I'll talk about Children's Day....
It's the Boys' Festival, just as March 3 is the Girls' Festival.
You can see carp-shaped streamers there and here. It's called koinobori.
It's made of cloth and hoisted on tall bamboo poles to celebrate Children's Day.

Why is carp used to celebrate the Boys' Day??
It's because we consider carp to be full of energy. Carp swim upstream and is believed to go up the waterfall.
We display dolls of warriors and miniature armor.
And we eat chimaki. It's a Japanese sweet.
I ate a koinobori bread!! It's so cute!!
The inside of the bread is ..... chocolates!! ↓↓↓
